Tanya Southern:

With over 28 years Dance experience, Tanya is able to teach Dance movements to Children that help with Body Posture, Fine & Gross Motor Skills.

Tanya also has 15 Years experience playing the African Djembe Drum in performances and Teaching. This is truly a Unique African Instrument.

After working for other Music and Movement companies, Tanya saw a desperate need to integrate Drama into her teaching style and to include more movement as children are not moving enough.

Young children learn best through play - that is why the lessons are structured in such a way, that the children have as much fun as possible and learn at the same time.

Rhythm and Timing is almost a by-product of this unique style of teaching.

Whambajam was established in 2010 and was developed as a way to introduce music appreciation and movement to the busy Pre-Schooler.

Tanya has her Enhanced DBS certificate - this is available to view on request.
